Review:
Think this is the first symphonic metal band ive heard to set their legacy to the roman era. The symphonic parts reminds me slightly of Symphony X, but they lack SXs extreme musicianship. Another band that comes to mind is Dimmu Borgir, as the harsh parts leans towards blackish metal.
This is a concept album that tells the story about caligula, roman emperor, n i think the music manage to support the visualization of that story. Im not too found of lead vocalist on this record, as i think his vocal style tends to be a bit screamy/non-vocal.
